The Western Australia Teaching and Learning Forum 2022 theme (Re)connecting captures our desire to connect and reconnect arising out of a truly disruptive two years for tertiary learning and teaching. The rapid move to teaching, learning, assessing and engaging online in 2020; the persistent imminent changes due to COVID-19 responses, together with our universities' ongoing adjustments have often left a feeling of disconnect in educators and students alike. What is the experience of learning and teaching in our higher education institutions now? How do or have we reconnected, connected, and healed?
The Teaching and Learning Forum for 2022 is focused on acknowledging, engaging and celebrating connection and reconnection with learning and teaching across the spectrum of activity.
The theme of (Re)connecting thus provides us with flexible and creative ways to share, showcase and celebrate how we:
(Re)connect with people, community and culture
(Re)connect learning, teaching, assessing
(Re)connect with what's really important for learners and teachers
(Re)connect with the future of teaching for us, our students
Your conference attendance includes:
two full days of sharing, presentations, networking and collegial exchange of ideas
(re)connecting during fully catered arrival coffee, morning tea, lunch and a daily sundowner event
reknown inspiring keynote speakers
infused program of informal (re)connecting activities

For the health and well-being of all participants, please maintain health practices, including not attending the Forum if you are unwell.
At the forum
As at 31 January, 2022, please wear a mask, maintain social distancing as far as practicable, and register using a Murdoch campus QR code using your SafeWA or ServiceWA app. Please note that current government requirements require proof of vaccination to enter any hospitality venue (that nice cafe coffee!) or the gym. The Forum is not using any hospitality venue except our catering is adjacent to the Student Hub and should you wish to enter the Hub for any reason, please be ready to show proof.
All presenters, particularly for Interactive Workshops, Immersive Teaching Bites, and Nuts and Bolts have been asked and are reminded to review the way their sessions are conducted to ensure safe COVID-19 practices are promoted.
Contingency plan
Should the face-to-face Forum be untenable, such as lock down or severe restrictions a fully online version is ready. In this case, the Forum will be presented via MS Teams, and registered participants will receive email communication. ALL PRESENTERS have been asked to have an online version ready or in mind, in this unlikely evant
